When Should You Press the Go Button on Your Entrepreneur Journey?
Key things that could be holding you back from starting your entrepreneur journey.
It is insightful reading about another entrepreneurial journey to success. It makes you realize that they may have had to struggle just like anyone else. Our efforts are unique. There isn’t always instruction on what to do next, and no matter how much research you do, there is no right or wrong answer. So when should you press the go button on your entrepreneur journey?
The entrepreneur journey starts with an idea. That idea then turns into a goal in which you try the find the best way to execute. It requires research, and often you won’t find someone doing the same thing you are doing. You may find someone doing something similar, but it may not be similar enough to help you with yours. You not being able to find a clear answer could leave you confused and unsure. You don’t want to make mistakes, but that’s all part of the journey.
I am a new entrepreneur myself. I spent years doubting myself and pushing my start day back. I didn’t know when it was the best time to press the go button on my journey. In this article, I will be sharing three things that you question yourself about pressing go, but why should you look past them.
You cant research every step.
Your nine to five mentality will make you feel like every part of your journey needs to be researched. It is not always the case. I am guilty of this thought process myself. I want to know how much I should charge for a product. One article will tell me one thing, and another will tell me something completely different.
You may not find the information you’re looking for, and that’s okay. The only way to overcome it is to jump in the field and start your journey on your own. You will mess up and make mistakes. The key is not to repeat mistakes and do better each time.
There is no right way, and there is no wrong way.
As I mentioned earlier, there is no way to find the correct answers when researching. Some areas have obvious proper ways to conduct them, but grey areas such as how you should market your product. You come up with three different ways to sell your product; you should test them all! The worst thing that can happen is none of them work. You can then think of 3 more ways to try to market your product.
You will have naysayers, but even they don’t know.
People will congratulate you that you got a new nine to five before congratulating you on starting a new business. The entrepreneurial journey is not for the weak, and It’s not just the problematic trials but the doubters around you. That is a better reason to press the go button on your journey. Your new journey is not to prove them wrong; if you fail the first time, you are much farther than they what they will ever be. Let’s face it; they don’t know any more than what you do.
Lets Reflect
It is normal to have self-doubt when starting your entrepreneurial journey. You are starting from scratch and have no idea how you intend to make certain parts of your journey work.
